Xiaomi is a popular name in the smartphone industry these days. Xiaomi constantly brings new designs of smartphones to the market. Xiaomi’s latest series is the Xiaomi Civi. This series is mainly designed to target selfie lovers and ladies. The first phone in this series, the Xiaomi Civi 1 model, has been successfully upgraded to the Xiaomi Civi 2. The look and design of the phone are very nice. Despite being a higher mid-range phone, its hardware has not been compromised. The method of the phone and the dual selfie camera have managed to catch the users’ attention. Xiaomi Civi 2 Design and Build
Let’s see the design and build of the phone. Xiaomi civi 2 phone frame is made of aluminum, and the back part is made of glass. The display and the back part are fitted with a slightly curved glass frame, which makes the look of the phone look very nice and provides a very comfortable grip in hand. At the bottom of the phone are a speaker grill, primary microphone, USB type c port, and SIM card tray. On top of the phone is Xiaomi’s signature Infrared port and secondary microphone. The phone’s right side has the power button and volume up and down buttons, and the left side is completely empty. The phone is available in four colors, of which white color is lovely. But I know why Xiaomi has removed the 3.5 mm headphone from the phone’s design. But unfortunately, it doesn’t have an IP68 rating. Overall, the phone’s design and build are excellent but not premium.
Civi 2 Display
Xiaomi civi 2 has used an AMOLED display of 120Hz refresh rate as the phone’s display. Display size 6.55 inches, its FHD+ resolution, and its pixel density is 402 PPI. The display features Dolby Vision and HDR10+. The display edges of the phone are 2.5D curves. And this entire display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The display bezels of the phone are skinny. The display has a dual selfie camera cut out at the top center, which looks lovely. Xiaomi will use it as Dynamic Island in their new UI.

Two 32-megapixel lenses are used as a selfie camera, one of which is a regular wide lens, and the other is a 100-degree ultrawide lens. You can take beautiful selfies with these two selfie cameras. The color accuracy of both selfie cameras is excellent. With this camera, you can take social media-ready pictures. You can shoot 1080p, 30, and 60 fps video with a selfie camera. With the primary camera, you can take very nice photos in daylight. Still, sometimes the colors are a bit over-saturated. The camera struggles to take good pictures in low light, but with night mode on, it is possible to get pretty good images in low light. You can take photos in a substantial frame using the ultra-wide lens. This camera image is relatively recent. And the macro camera is a standard macro camera. You can take beautiful portrait shots with the primary camera, and the blurry background effect is lovely. With this camera, you can shoot videos up to 4K 30fps. The video comes out very well at 1080 pixels, and the video stabilizer has EIS benefits. The phone’s primary camera is an average grader with which you can take excellent photos and capture videos sometimes. The hardware needs to be optimized a little more in the case of the primary camera.
Performance
The phone is not only excellent in terms of design, but also performance is immensely satisfying. Xiaomi civi 2 uses a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset as the currently high mid-range chipset. It is made of 4 nanometers. The phone has MIUI 13 with Android 12 as the operating system. As a result, you will not face any difficulty using your phone daily. But you can do regular gaming with it very quickly. The phone is not a hit for everyday users. There was no tendency to heat up when using the camera. You will find regular speakers as the sound output in the phone. Still, given the current times, it was necessary to have stereo speakers. Unfortunately, the phone doesn’t have a 3.5mm headphone jack, so you have to use the Type-C port to use headphones. The phone has an under-display optical fingerprint sensor which is accurate and very fast at the same time. Xiaomi CIVI 2 phone has all the required sensors. The phone has 5.2 Bluetooth facilities, NFC, Wi-Fi, and an infrared facility. However, the phone does not have the facility of using SD cards separately. Still, the good thing is that it has a dual SIM facility. The phone has multiple 5G network bands.
A 4500ms battery is used in the phone, and there is a 67W fast charger to charge the battery. It has a USB Type-C2.0 port with OTG support. From this, you get a moderate battery backup. You get five to six hours of screen time on a single charge. And you can charge it very quickly using the 67w charger that comes with it.
